My Handheld GPSr unit is only part of the location system I use to find Geocaches. Another part of the system is the actual Satellites positioned above the earth. As I endeavor to learn more about this technology, I have found that manufacturers of satellites, Government agency's, and the Military have different ways of referring to a particular satellite. This makes searching for information difficult at best. So, I set out to make a cross reference chart that would show the many designations for each of the satellites in the GPS system. Below you will find this chart. To the best of my knowledge all information is correct, but, if you find an error, please let me know.
