Woo Hoo! We found or 300th Geocache today. I began searching for a Milestone type cache to find when I came across (GCYKFE) Imperial Star Box. What was special about this cache was that it is located on the same trail I found my second geocache, the cache that really hooked me into this obsession (hobby). It was a beautiful evening to walk the Highline Trail and we were serenaded by an owl I could never see. I am certainly looking forward to the next 300 finds.

I had a great sunset shot in my viewfinder but my cameras memory card was sitting on my desk.;-(

No work today as it's snowing heavily and the highway I need to take to get to my scheduled job is practically impassable. Oh Well, it's nice to get caught up on paperwork. I did do some Geocaching earlier this week in Falcon, Co.. (GCPQGB) Trees? In Falcon? and (GCPPJ0) Rob's Random Running Path-Rock Island Trail. This brought my find count to 299. I'll look for something interesting for my 300th.

What beautiful day!  Molly and I just had to get out and walk some Highlands Ranch trails, and find a few Geocaches. We hiked a big loop from our house to catch two caches nearby. (GCYPHV) Johnny Caches Cache can #2 and (GCXYR3) Welcome to Highlands Ranch. It was nice to walk some trails we don't normally hit, and on a gorgeous day too.

Had some time between jobs today allowing me to search out a cache. I had to have some help from my daughter as I knew nothing about the subject of the cache, Bob, as in Sponge Bob square pants. With the info she supplied I was able to quickly find the cache. (GCX64A) Bob

Molly and I went hiking in Deer Creek Canyon Park today. We found a Geocache (GCWFZ1) Laser. We also visited our Geocache "Homesteader Cache"  to check on its condition and the condition of the surrounding landscape. All was in good order. It was such a beautiful day we decided to continue hiking and hit a few trails we haven't hiked in a while. Total miles hiked; 8.5 Time spent with my dog hiking; Priceless

With the sun setting earlier every night, our evening walks are ending in the dark in recent days. I don't mind this at all because we usually get to see some wildlife we don't normally see. This week we have seen several owls, not sure what kind exactly. We have also seen no less than 2 coyotes every night this week. Tonight, a coyote stopped to check us out not 20 Yd's away. Sorry no pics.

Molly and I mapped 3 miles of a relocated portion of section 2 of the Colorado Trail today. The portion we hiked is near South Platte. We also hiked a old railroad grade that runs along the South Platte River. The fall colors were awesome. We found two benchmarks and three Geocaches. The Geocaches (GCKHK3) Quartz Quarry Cache, (GCKPQ8) WOITMON*, and (GCJWEV) Ghost Railroad at South Platte.
