Even with the warmer weather we have lots of snow on the ground. It's a good work out taking Molly for two to three miles. Today I stopped at the creek to photograph  ice forming on the water. I spent some time just admiring its beauty.

After picking up some parts at the local Home Depot, I witnessed a Prairie Falcon take a cotton tail rabbit at the edge of the parking lot. I'm glad I had my camera.

I slipped and fell on the ice Sunday, bruising my left ribs. This may be the most painful injury I have ever sustained. It definitely puts a damper on my normal activities. I'll just kick back for a while and do some reading.

I have had a Geocoin for over a month now and I would like to drop into a cache, but the snow has been a major problem for cache finding. Today, I found (GCZ1FQ) "Bates Lake"  in hopes of finally sending this coin on its way but alas the container was too small. :-(

I didn't take the day off today, but I did finish early enough to take Molly for a walk before the sun set. A little warmer today, but not much.  I just cant believe we have so much snow, oh well, we will just make the best of it. Just kidding, both Molly and I love it.

Molly and I headed out early to do some ice fishing at Wolford Mountain Reservoir this morning but got caught up in a horrendous traffic jamb on I-70. At the first opportunity we escaped the traffic and headed toward home. On the way I decided to stop off at Chatfield lake to check the thickness of the ice. The ice was a full 6" at catfish flats, good enough to do some fishing. I didn't catch any fish but it was fun to use my new hut and play with molly on the ice.

Molly and I have enjoyed the massive amount of snow we have received in recent weeks. We go snowshoeing  nearly every night. Tonight the full moon, combined with low clouds and a light haze, set an eerie mood over our hike.
