Molly and I spent the day hiking in the Lost Creek Wilderness area. We hiked the South Ben Tyler Trail also called the Rock Creek Trail. This was our first visit to this area and I must say that I really liked it.. The trail was a steady climb for nearly 5.5 miles to an area we chose to eat lunch. The views of South Park were awesome. Lots of wild flowers still bloomed along the trail. We cut our stay above timberline short because of lighting and enjoyed a good rain for most of the hike back to the truck. Totals for the day: 2100 feet elevation gain, 10.5 Miles
On the drive back home we stopped and found two microcaches located along the highway. Park it on 58 (GC147TN) and Welcome Queenie (GC142P3).

Molly and I decided to do some High Country Geocaching today. We did (GCK7JH) 4x4 8-Argentine Pass. We had originally wanted to hike up Argentine Peak but the trail was a little crowded for my taste. Instead, we headed north and hiked up Mt Edwards 13,850. Our total hike was about 7 miles with an elevation gain of 2500 feet. The views were great as were the wild flowers. A wonderful day in the high country.

Highlands Ranch may have had the best fireworks show I have ever seen! We enjoyed the festivities with my parents, Sharleen and Steve. Great fun!
