I guess I have come down with spring caching fever as Molly and I have Geocaching three days in a row now. Today we visited a new park, Plum Valley Park, and found one Microcache. (GC19G4W) I Can See Chatfield. The park was small but the trail connected to the Plum Valley Trail where we did some exploring. Another beautiful day!

Molly and I took a long hike on the Foothills Trail that bisects Highlands Ranch. Along the way we visited the Dog Park , Molly couldn't find any suitable playmates, and a close Geocache. We found (GC18MMM) One For The Girls. A fun afternoon spent with my best friend.

The warmer weather makes me want to get out and do more caching. I took time between jobs several times this week to find some close geocaches. Found, (GC17HGB) Crosses, (GC18T89) Mondo's On Every Corner #35, (GC11YK5) Eggstravaganza, (GC13ARR) Green Heritage, (GC1409N) Disc Golf #1, and (GC15DZZ) Happy Trails to You:. Hopefully spring will be here soon so Molly and I can do some hiking in the high country.

Molly and I did some hiking in South Valley Park this afternoon. We took our time and enjoyed the wonderful views, stopping often to snap a picture or two. The trails were muddy to the extreme in places. I couldn't even begin to describe the mess Molly made in my truck on the way home. We also found a Geocache not far from the parking area, (GC17QWB) COS you need to. Great fun!!

Had some time between jobs, both yesterday and today, so I did a little Geocaching. Found (GC1720E) EOR and (GC144DC) Power Play. Both were on the small side but fun anyway. It should be nice this weekend, I should go hiking and caching.

What a beautiful day for a hike! Molly and I were joined by our friend Luke for a hike in Deer Creek Canyon Park. The trails in the park were snow packed but not too icy, making them fairly easy to negotiate. We ate our lunch on a high rock outcropping that sported views of the mountains to the west. We could see Mt Evans, James Peak as well as the tip top of Longs Peak. All totaled we hiked just under eight miles with an elevation gain of just over 1200 ft. We finished our day by finding a Geocache, (GC17QX5) COS - you can do it.

No Geocaching for weeks! All my extra time has gone towards dull, run of the mill stuff. I needed to get out and do something. So, my friend Jim and I tried our luck at ice fishing at Chatfield today. Not so lucky! After a full day fishing we caught just a few small perch. Oh Well, It was a beautiful day to be outside. I think I'll plan a good hike for next weekend.
